AIRC hires new interns every Spring Quarter and Fall Quarter. The deadline for this academic year has passed, please contact the AIRC Director, Dr. Rebecca Rosser at rrosser@ucsc.edu for more information. 

Interns at the AIRC work on a variety of projects and are required to serve on one of our three event planning committees. Interns interact with the Native community on campus, build strong relationships with fellow interns, staff and faculty, while gaining experience in program and event planning.


Internship Options

-2 Unit Internship: 4-6 hours per week, 3-4 page critical reflection paper.

-Paid internship for up to 10 hours a week.

Qualifications:

  •  Knowledge of American Indian issues, campus Native American community and student organizations is preferred.
  •  Responsible, resourceful and posses initiative.
  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other AIRC interns and interns from other resource centers
