UCSC Merrill Indigenous Floor at Casa Chavez - Menchu

This hall will serve as a community for incoming American Indian students, their allies, and anyone with an interest in Native American culture. Programming for this hall will be done in tandem with the American Indian Resource Center, Native American Faculty and regional tribal leaders.  Possible activities will includes a trip to the Bay Area American Indian Film Festival, guest speakers, and the opportunity to dialogue about current global Indigenous’ Rights issues.  This will be a substance-free living space.

As of now Merrill Indigi-Floor programming is coordinated by AIRC student intern Michelle Neumann along side with Merrill/Crown Housing Manager Valerie Chase.
